For all the wealth I'm generating and all hobbies I invest it in its clear to me that the money spent is not paying dividends in perceived happiness.
Owning expensive things come with its own burden. The mental weight of stuff just laying around unused is proportional to its expense. Owning multiples of something means constant struggle to pick and choose on every occasion.
On the other side making things yourself, cost free brings immense pleasure. Not because I'm cheap but by the absence of guilt for resources spent. Or for the plain marvel of doing something yourself and learning in the process.

- Drawing and painting with cheap mediums
- Enjoying the quiet of simplicity in all things
- Reading a good book
